Steph Milner
Steph knows how to become your business’ brand and personality.
While still a youngster in Auckland, a gig as a dj on BFM led to a job writing promotional material for Warner Bros NZ. When the music industry began to affect her health she switched to marketing positions at Hot Buttered Surf NZ and Mt Ruapehu Skifields as well as becoming a regular contributor to NZ Snowboarder Magazine. She then spent five years as Managing Director of Lib Tech and Gnu Snowboards NZ before moving to Seattle. During Steph’s ten years in the Seattle area she worked as a freelance copywriter for some of the city’s most iconic brands including Starbucks, Microsoft, Eddie Bauer and Amazon, writing everything from employee handbooks and technical manuals to ad campaigns, catalogs and PR releases. She also worked as an in-house marketing executive for North Sails Catalog and SMC (one of Seattle’s most enduring mountaineering companies).
Since returning to NZ and moving to Nelson, Steph’s family lifestyle involves more “life” and less “style,” but she has kept her writing thumb active with articles and website content for the yoga, nutrition and tourism industries.
